Privacy

OnTime uses Google or Apple sign-in. We store your account identifier, the profile you set up once (name, optional profile photo, distance unit), your Radar activity and any recap photos you choose to add — nothing more.

Location. Your location is used only while a Radar is active and only until it ends or you leave. It’s shared with the other people in that Radar so everyone can see the same live map, and it stops being collected the moment the Radar ends. The positions, trails and arrivals recorded during a Radar are kept until the host deletes the Radar or their account.

Profile photo. A profile photo is optional. If you pick one, OnTime crops it to a square, resizes it and stores it on our servers. It’s shown next to your name to the people in every Radar you join, including guests who join from a web link, and anyone with its link can open it. Changing or removing the photo deletes the old one from our servers. Without a photo, everyone sees the same grey placeholder.

Recap photos. If you add a background photo to a Radar recap, OnTime keeps a resized copy on your device and backs it up to our servers so it comes back if you reinstall the app or switch phones. Only you can access it — it isn’t shown to the other people in the Radar unless you share the recap yourself. It stays until you remove it or delete your account, even if the Radar is deleted or you leave it.

Joining from a web link. Joining a Radar without the app doesn’t create an account. You enter a display name, and a temporary guest session is kept in your browser’s local storage so you stay in the Radar if you reload the page. Your browser asks before sharing your location. Once you allow it, your position, trail and arrivals are shared the same way as in the app, only while the page stays open and the Radar is active.

Analytics and crash reports. We use PostHog to understand how OnTime is used and to catch crashes and errors. It records things like pages viewed, buttons tapped, device and browser type, approximate region based on IP address, and error details. In the app, this is linked to a random identifier stored on your device. On the website, PostHog doesn’t set cookies or store an identifier in your browser. It never receives your live location.

No ad tracking. OnTime doesn’t sell data, run ad SDKs, or track you across other apps.

Deletion. Delete your account any time from Settings in the app — it removes your profile, your profile photo, your recap photos and any events you hosted for good.
