Questions
Do I need the app to join?+
No — anyone can join and share their live location straight from a web link, no account or install needed. The full app adds background tracking, Live Activity and the 2D/3D map. There for, we recommend installing the app for the best experience.
Do I need an account?+
To use the app itself, yes — one tap with Google or Apple. You set a profile name and avatar once and they carry into every Radar, so there’s no nickname to re-enter and no email or password to manage. Delete your account any time from Settings.
Is it on Android?+
iPhone first. Non-iPhone friends can still join from the web link, no app needed, but the full experience — Live Activity, Dynamic Island, 3D map — is on iOS.
Does it track my location all the time?+
Only while a Radar is active, and only until it ends or you leave. There’s nothing running in the background outside of that.
Will location sharing drain my battery faster?+
Any app that shares live location will use some extra battery. OnTime is designed to keep battery usage as low as possible by updating your location intelligently instead of keeping GPS running continuously. The app only checks and shares your location when it makes sense, helping you stay connected with your group without unnecessary battery drain.
